Maitland, FL Holocaust Memorial Center and Hamas Supporter Exposed

On January 29, 2012 the Holocaust Memorial Resource & Education Center of Florida (HMREC) co-hosted an event with Sunni Imam Muhammad Musri of the Islamic Society of Central Florida. The event was; BESA – Albanian Muslim Rescuers During the Holocaust.

The Albanian “Bektashi” Muslims who saved 2,000 Jews during World War 2 were awarded the title, “Righteous Among the Nations” by the State of Israel. Righteous Among the Nations is an honorific title awarded to recognize non-Jews who risked their lives saving Jews from extermination by the Nazis.

The Albanian “Bektashi” Sufi Muslims have earned a place in history exemplifying the goodness within the human soul of man that we should all strive to equal in our daily lives.

Fast forward to 2011, it is now the Bektashi that need saving from the hands of the Sunni’s, Wahhabbis, Arabs, and Pakastani Islamists according to an article written by Stephen Schwartz, June 6, 2011 at the Center For Islamic Pluralism.

Shpetim Mahmudi teaches at the University of Tetovo and belongs to the Bektashi order of Sufi mystics. In a 2008 interview with Michael Totten, Mr. Mahmudi explains how the Sunni’s & Wahabbi Muslims make the Bektashi’s lives a living hell.
“Serious trouble started three years ago when they broke gravestones,” he said. “They didn’t respect our saints. They also broke pictures of Imam Ali on the walls, and of the world head of the Bektashis. They cut the pictures with knives. They think we are too close to Christianity, in part because of the pictures and candles.” The Wahhabis hate candles. Then the Sunnis came in and occupied the tekke saying “ This is Muslim territory”
‘Mahmudi’s place of Sufi worship – his tekke – is under assault by radical Sunnis who have seized most of the sprawling ancient Ottoman compound by force, converted portions of it for their own use, and desecrated its graves and its shrines.”
“They (Sunni’s) attacked us again on the 5th of May,” he said. “They ripped down our Bektashi flag. They broke the spindles on the shrine here and stole the donation box. And they threatened the dervish.”
Many Alevi Bektashis lost their lives when attacked by Sunni right-wing extremists at Kahramanmaraşin 1978, and at Sivas in 1993. Since the 1980s, Alevi Bektashi villagers have come under growing pressure to improve their material lot by abandoning support
for left-wing politicians and resistance to Sunni Islam.

We pulled into the parking lot of the Holocaust Memorial Center on a beautiful Sunday afternoon, knowing this event was a celebration of the Albanians’ heroic deeds during World War 2, we wanted to film and memorialize the event.

Upon entering the venue, Mr. Campbell was immediately stopped by Officer Harris of the Maitland Police Department and told he would need permission from Pam Kancher, Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Center, to film the event that was advertised as free and open to the public.

Ms. Kancher told Mr. Campbell that no filming of the event would be allowed. We were also told that if we asked any questions perceived as negative towards Imam Musri we would be escorted out of the building. Somewhat shocked by Ms. Kancher’s overtly hostile and rude behavior I asked her where this hostility and hatred was coming from.

Ms. Kancher said that she had received threatening phone calls, emails, and even death threats from people all over the country regarding this event. Ms. Kancher even accused me of sending her a “threatening” e-mail and calling her office. Knowing that I never sent Ms. Kancher an e-mail or spoke to her, I asked her to produce my “threatening” e-mail. Of course she never did this and refused to apologize for the false accusation and slander.

I told Ms. Kancher these were extremely serious charges and I asked her to produce all the names of people who threatened her. Pam Kancher came back with one e-mail that was not at all threatening, and a letter written by me to the Heritage, a local Jewish paper, which the e-mailer had apparently sent her. That was all Pam Kancher would produce. I told Ms. Kancher she needs to prosecute anyone who threatened her to fullest extent of the law.

I instructed Pam Kancher to file a formal complaint for the threatening e-mails and death threats with the two Maitland Police Officers who were within earshot of our conversation. Ms. Kancher, did nothing when her legal obligations as Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Center should require her to file all threats with the proper authorities. Pam got even more furious when I told her The Heritage will be printing my letter to the editor.

The story of the Albanian Bektashi/Suffi Albanian Muslims saving 2000 Jews during WW2 is inspirational, heartwarming, heroic, and gives one hope for the future.

The National Socialist Nazi Party’s rise to power, and eventual defeat by allied forces, tested the extremities of human nature by Nazis, Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The heroic story of Oskar Schindler who saved 1,200 of his Jewish workforce from his fellow German Nazis was made a legend by Steven Spielberg.

Irene Sendler, the courageous Polish Catholic nurse, became known as the angel of the Warsaw Ghetto for having saved 2,500 Jewish children from certain death. In 1943 Sendler was detained by the Gestapo, brutally tortured, and subsequently freed thanks to the intervention of the Polish resistance.

The historical record shows that up to 50,000 Polish gentiles were executed by the Nazis for trying to save Jews, Gypsies, Catholics, etc…

On the other hand, the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin el Husseini, was a passionate collaborator of Adolf Hitler and Heinrich Himmler. The Grand Mufti of Jerusalem is responsible for forming the Bosnian Muslim SS Handzar divisions. Albanian Baktashi Muslims, Oskar Schindler, and the Irene Sendler’s of that era saved lives, while just as passionately the Bosnian Muslim SS Handzar divisions took lives.

I am profoundly saddened by the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center’s (HMREC) outrageous choice of Imam Muhammad Musri as the events co-host. On June 14, 2009, Imam Musri was caught on film hosting an event at his Al-Rahman Mosque in Orlando, FL, raising funds for Hamas, with the infamous George Galloway. On December 15, 2010, George Galloway’s visa to enter the United States was revoked by the U.S. State Department, in part because of his Hamas fundraising activities at Imam Musri’s Mosque. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-HIQQMUrLc

Imam Muhammad Musri’s fundraising support for Hamas is troubling because the Hamas Charter preamble calls for the obliteration of Israel.

The HMREC would be much better served inviting true devout Muslim reformers like Dr. Zuhdi Jasser and Tawfiq Hamid, both who are vocal supporters of Israel’s right to exist.

Our issue is information we have uncovered about Imam Muhammad Musri and his direct ties to a Hamas Fundraiser with George Galloway. The fundraiser for Hamas took place at Musri’s Al-Rahman Mosque in Orlando, FL while Imam Musri was present (See Video Here) Here is another video of Imam Musri blaming the United States for 9/11. This video was filmed at The University Club of Winter Park, FL.

Pam Kancher told us that if we were to mention the Hamas Fundraiser at Imam Musri’s Mosque we would be escorted out of the building. Pam also went on to add the video is “false”. When I asked her to explain why she thinks the video is false she was silent. Unknown to Pam Kancher, we turned the raw footage over to the FBI and Treasury Departments. About one year later the FBI and Treasury Department gave us permission to release the video. Several months after the video was released, George Galloway’s visa to enter the United States was revoked by our State Department due to his terrorist funding activities and in part because of our video.

Pam Kancher told me the Hamas Charter does not call for the obliteration of Israel as I wrote in my Letter to the editor.

The second paragraph of the Hamas Charter states, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it” (The Martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).”

The Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida, Pam Kancher, should be required to have a basic understanding of the Hamas Charter, and know a little something about the groups that call for the destruction of Israel. Kancher should also know that Imam Hassan al-Banna is the ideological father of The Muslim Brotherhood and the Muslim Brotherhood has direct ties to Imam Musri’s Al-Rahman Mosque on Goldenrod Road.

Pam Kancher should be aware that court documents submitted into evidence at the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development Trial, the largest terrorist funding trial in U.S. history, shows the Title Holder of Imam Musri’s Mosque, North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), is a Muslim Brotherhood sub group. Read this story by the unbiased Dallas Morning News to corroborate my facts. (see page 15 of the Explanatory Memorandum)

The group, identified as The Muslim Brotherhood, shows that listed as group number 8 – NAIT = North American Islamic Trust, is the title holder of Imam Musri’s Al-Rahman Mosque on Goldenrod Road, Orlando, FL. Go to the Orange County Florida property appraiser website, and in the search field type in North American Islamic Trust and see Imam Musri’s Mosque pop up.

The information provided here is compelling enough to show that Imam Muhammad Musri is not the right person to co-host an event at the Maitland Holocaust Memorial Center. What do you think?

At the very least, Imam Musri needs to explain why the Sunni Muslims are attacking the Bektashi Muslims who were honored by the Maitland Holocaust Memorial Center.

Pam Kancher needs to explain why she would invite a Sunni Imam, Muhammad Musri, whose sect of Islam is responsible for attacking the same Muslims he was invited to honor.

Let’s recap what we have learned:

• Imam Musri’s sect of Islam, Sunni, is attacking the same Bektashi Muslims he was brought in to honor. To date Imam Musri has never condemned those attacks on his fellow Bektashi Muslim brothers.

• Imam Musri hosted an Hamas Fundraiser with George Galloway and a year later George Galloway’s visa is revoked because of his Terrorist / Hamas funding activities. These events were caught on film and the tape was turned over to the FBI and Treasury Department.

• Pam Kancher, Executive Director of the Holocaust Memorial Research and Education Center of Florida, is unaware of Imam Musri’s support of Hamas and what is written in the Hamas Charter. More troubling is that Ms. Kancher ignores pristinely sourced facts that conflict with her emotional kumbaya world view. The Neville Chamberlains of 1938 did exactly what Pam Kancher is doing today and the consequences resulted in the Holocaust Memorial Center having to exist in 2012.

The threat matrix against the State of Israel from Iran, Hamas, Hezbollah, Al-Qaeda, The Muslim Brotherhood, are all the same threats faced by the United States of America. The political ideology of all these Islamist groups are essentially the same, the only difference is in tactics used to achieve their goals. Israel is the canary in the coal mine for the West.

All I ask is that you do your own research about what is presented to you in this article. Objectively look at the facts presented and come to your own conclusions.

The Albanian Bektashi Muslims saved 2,000 Jews in World War 2. Today these same Albanian Muslims are being attacked by their fellow Sunni and Wahabbi Muslim brothers and sisters. Pam Kancher is blindly partnering with those who support Hamas. Furthermore, she brings these Hamas supporters inside the sacred ground of the Holocaust Memorial Resource and Education Center of Florida.

Pam Kancher would better serve the Central Florida community reaching out to true Muslim reformers like Dr. Zuhdi Jasser and Tawfik Hamid. Dr. Jasser and Tawfik Hamid are devout Muslim reformers who support Israel’s right to exist.

As Israel goes so goes the United States of America.
